Pre-symposium workshops at KEMU

LAHORE: A Pre-conference Workshop on Role of Artificial Intelligence in Research was held during the KEMU annual symposium on 9th December 2023. It was organized by Prof. Meher-un-Nisa. VC KEMU                 

Prof. Mehmood Ayaz was Patron while KEMC Alumni guest was Dr. Nadeem Mukhtar. Guest Speaker and Facilitator was Dr. Noor -i- Kiran Haris (Assistant Professor Medical Education ABWA medical college Faisalabad). Co-facilitator was Dr. Khadija Waheed. Senior faculty KEMU also attended conference.

Prof. Meher-un-Nisa in her introductory remarks explained how Artificial intelligence has revolutionized research. Dr. Noor-i-Kiran Harris explained and simplified the use of AI tools like Elicit, Bard, ChatGPT, etc. through different links with active involvement of participants having access to all links. Prof. Asghar Naqi Registrar KEMU emphasized the importance of AI in healthcare. Prof. Waris Farooq explained role of AI in surgical field via video for simulation. Prof. Nadeem Mukhtar highlighted the role of explained role of AI in urology.              

The other Preconference workshop organized by Prof. Mehrunnisa was on “Uterine Compression Sutures for Management of PPH” It was held on December 14th 2023. Prof. Dr. Uzma Hussain emphasized the importance of timely intervention in management of PPH by using different compression sutures. Participants from different hospitals attended the workshop.
