Telepathy!

After graduation, while I was working as a Registrar at Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar, my friends and I went on a weekend outing to Murree. We had a great time driving all the way from Peshawar through Rawalpindi to Murree and spent the night in a hotel.

The next day, we were having a late breakfast outdoors at nine in the morning when, suddenly, my mood shifted for no apparent reason. Feeling bored and uneasy, I told my friends that I didn’t feel good and wanted to leave for Peshawar. My sudden mood changes disturbed them as well, so we decided to cut the trip short and head back.

On our way back to Peshawar, I sat quietly in the front seat. As we passed the Khairabad Kund rest house area, I noticed my father’s car stuck in a tree. The driver’s seat was broken and stained with blood. Alarmed, we hurried to Mardan, where my father was residing at the time.

When we arrived, we found him lying on his bed with his head bandaged but conscious. He was surprised to see me there so soon, especially since he hadn’t sent any message about the accident. When I asked him what had happened and at what time, he explained that his car’s engine had seized on the way from Abbottabad to Mardan. He had hired a taxi to tow the car, and while he was in the driver’s seat, the tow rope snapped near Khairabad, causing him to lose control and crash into a roadside tree. The accident had occurred exactly at nine in the morning—the same time my mood had suddenly changed. Was this a coincidence or telepathy? To this day, I cannot explain it, but telepathy is a known phenomenon.

Telepathy, often described as the ability to transmit thoughts, emotions, or information without conventional communication methods, has long fascinated scientists and paranormal researchers. While no definitive scientific proof exists, many believe it is a latent ability that some individuals possess or can develop. Historically, telepathy has been explored in spiritual and psychic traditions, with reports of people sensing others’ thoughts or emotions across great distances.

Technology is pushing the boundaries of communication, with brain-computer interfaces enabling direct thought-based interactions. While skeptics argue that telepathy is more likely a result of intuition or subconscious cues, its continued study fuels discussions about the untapped potential of the human mind. Whether real or not, telepathy remains an intriguing concept that challenges our understanding of consciousness and communication. If proven, it could revolutionize the way humans connect and share information.

(Please note the story dates back to the era when there were no cell phones nor internet, in fact a land line phone was considered a luxury to afford.)

  1. Very interesting! I had similar experiences when I was abroad. I have put this down to perhaps having an extra dimension. Also being a psychic, person with a an ability to have this telepathy describes this ability!
I wonder wether this is a brain wave activity or some other phenomenon in the environment, yet to be discovered!

  2. Telepathy has been a subject most talked about in 60s. However, another term Teleportation is being worked upon by the scientists now a days. Chinese have experimented and teleported photon(packet of information)1400 KMs away, from Tibet to a Satellite. Holy Quran mentions Queen of Sheba’s throne brought to Hazrat Sulaiman’s court in split of a second. The person who brought it had knowledge of the Book. The book is not specified but it does show us that it must be a book of science. The construction of ships and temples is evident that people in those days may be much advanced. Another advancement in science and technology is Egyptian Pyramids.

  3. This story narrated above by the writer is quite interesting, it’s not really telepathy which is defined as “mind reading ” in scholastic terms. It’s more like an intuitive feeling of doom or some negative occurrence . We have all experienced such thoughts and feelings in our lives and found them to be alas true. I presume it’s some form of ESP(Extra Sensory Perception) but science cannot at this time explain such thoughts and feelings.

  4. Shakespeare said in his play Hamlet that “there are more things in heaven and earth , Horatio, than dreamt of in your philosophy”(Act 1, Sc 5). It’s true that many paranormal phenomena, many branches of knowledge are yet to be comprehended and explained by humans.
