JPMA, JCPSP have IF of 0.8, 11 Journals are listed in IF, while 10 Pakistani Journals are included in ESCI and have varying IF
PJMS IF has increased from 1.2 to 1.7
KARACHI: Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences maintains the No.1 position with highest Impact Factor among the Pakistani Biomedical Journals as per Journal Citation Report (JCR) released by Clarivate from United States on June 18th 2025. PJMS Impact Factor has increased from 1.2 to 1.7 in the current ranking. In all there are eleven journals in different subject which are included in Science Citation Index and enjoy Impact Factor while Ten Journals are covered in Emerging Science Citation Index and have earned varying Impact Factor. JPMA has maintained its IF at 0.8 while JCPSP has slightly improved its IF from 0.7 to 0.8. PJMS is also the only biomedical Journals to have been included in Q2 ranking while most other journals are in Q4 which is yet other criteria of judging the standard of a journal.

- Journal of Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (0.2)
- Khyber Medical University Journal (0.2)
- Anesthesia Pain and Intensive Care (0.3)
Rawal Medical Journal and Gomel Journal of Medical Sciences could not maintain their IF which has decreased whereas other institutions continue to have an IF of 0.1 or 0.2.
