GWADAR: (BALUCHISTAN): The 100-Bed most modern healthcare facility which is the result of Pakistan-China collaboration as part of the CPEC was formally inaugurated recently. This also marked a significant milestone in healthcare infrastructure of Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) which is managing this Hospital. It has now started entertaining patients. The inauguration ceremony marked an important advancement in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project, signifying a strong bond of friendship and collaboration between the two nations.

It may be mentioned here that the hospital had its groundbreaking ceremony on November 8, 2020, and was formally completed on November 30, 2023. Sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the GDA Pakistan China Friendship Hospital was constructed by the Gansu Construction Investment (Holding) Group Corporation, to serve the people of Gwadar with state of the art medical facilities.
Comprising three blocks, the hospital consists of a comprehensive range of healthcare amenities, including CT scan, fluoroscopy, and endoscopy services, among others, ensuring that residents have access to essential medical treatments and resources.
In a phased approach to its opening, the hospital’s Outpatient Department (OPD) block was inaugurated on April 29, 2024. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was conducted by Dr. Affan Faiq Zada, Head of Campus; Zakir Majeed, Director of Finance at GDA; Nizar Muhammad Baloch, Deputy Director of Administration at GDA; and Dr. Sarang Memon, Head of Faculty at GDA Hospital, who offered prayers for the success of the facility.
To ensure the residents of Baluchistan receive the best possible care, the management of the GDA Pakistan China Friendship Hospital will be overseen by The Indus Hospital Korangi Campus, located in Karachi. The Korangi Campus is recognized nationwide for its 100% free quality healthcare services and high standards of care with compassion, dignity, and trust.
