LAHORE: University of Health Sciences has constituted a Core Committee for Medical Editing / Journalism Courses being run by the university. It is headed by Prof. Maj. Gen. M. Aslam former VC UHS. The member are as under:

- Prof Nadia Naseem (UHS)
- Prof Asif Naveed (Director Postgraduate Studies, UHS)
- Mr. M Hassaan (Secretary)
The Terms of Reference of the Core Committee are:
- Propose and review the curriculum and teaching content of Medical Journalism courses.
- Recommend topics for student assignments, projects, and other academic exercises.
- Suggest panels of suitable mentors and external/internal examiners for relevant courses each year in light of University eligibility criteria.
- Advise on faculty development needs related to Medical Journalism.
- Periodically review student feedback and recommend improvements to the teaching and training process.
- Serve as an academic advisory body for interdisciplinary collaboration in medical journalism.
- The Committee shall submit its recommendations to the Vice Chancellor through the Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor for formal approval.
Constitution of this committee will strengthen a more structured and transparent approach for conducting medical editing /journalism courses as per approved policies and regulations.
