KARACHI: Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at JPMC/Jinnah Sindh Medical University took an initiative for launching a subspecialty development programme for the first time in a public sector hospital recently. This represents a vital step forward in enhancing the quality and scope of healthcare services available to the public in Pakistan.
According to Prof. Haleema Yasmin Chairperson Dept. of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at JPMC by focusing on specialized areas of Gynae and Obstetrics, such as oncogynaecology, urogynaecology, maternal fetal medicine, cardio obstetrics, breast feeding medicine, minimal invasive surgeries, this initiative enables the hospital to provide more comprehensive and specialized care to patients, addressing their specific medical needs more effectively.
It also contributes to the professional development of healthcare professionals by offering training and opportunities to specialize in these areas, ultimately raising the standard of care provided by the hospital.
