Speeches of world leaders which led to revolutionary changes highlighted

PharmEvo Thematic Calendar 2025

KARACHI: Keeping up its past traditions of producing calendars after conducting research, PharmEvo has produced its twelve-page Thematic Calendar 2025 which highlights the excerpts from important speeches of various world leaders which led to revolutionary changes. The messages which were conveyed did have a positive impact on the society to change the ideological direction. This is the 26th Calendar in this series produced by the marketing team of PharmEvo under the supervision and guidance of Khawaja Razi Haider a known researcher in the literary world.

The first page carries message form poet of the East Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal from his speech at Allah Abad India on December 29th 1930. In his presidential address he said, “At critical moments in their history, it is Islam that has saved Muslims. Focus your vision on Islam and seek inspiration, reassemble your scattered forces, regain your lost integrity and save yourself form total destruction”.

Mahathir Mohamad the former Prime Minister of Malaysia’s speech on self-accountability features on page-2. “No Nation can afford to abandon a winning formula and no endeavour comes without a price tag. We should be self-critical and willing to make corrections” he had stated on Feb.28gn 1991.

Speaking in Norway on Dec. 10th 1979 Mother Teresa had prayed “ Lord make me a channel of your peace that when there is hatred, I may bring love, that where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness, I bring harmony, truth. Faith and hope”. It appears on page-3.

Nelson Mandela who fought against white domination in South Africa, cherished the ideal of democratic and free society has been covered on the next page. He wished that all live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. (April 20th 1964)

Sir Syed Ahmad Khan the founder of Aligarh University in India while speaking at Lucknow on Dec. 18th 1881 had remarked that “only thing which can raise you to a high rank is high education. Until our nation can give birth to highly educated people, it will remain degraded”. This important message appears on page-5.

Former US President John F. Kennedy in his speech at Boston on Sept. 12th had stated that “We choose to go to the Moon in this decade, it will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, are willing to accept challenges.” Excerpts from his speech are highlighted on page-6.

Former Secretary General of United Nations Kofi Anan’s important speech he made in Athens on September 13th 2017 and its message is highlighted on page for July 2025. He had stated that “ We should remember that democracy is always a work in progress. It continues to inspire democrats throughout the world today. We must cherish, reform and defend democracy”.

Excerpts from Quaid-e-Azam’s speech on August 24th 1947 after he had won independence for Pakistan is covered on page for August 2025. He had stated that “Pakistan has now been established and it can never be undone. No power on earth can undo Pakistan.”
Great Leader of China Mao Zedong’s speech on September 8th 1944 is highlighted on the next page. He had remarked that “In the time of difficulty, we must not lose sight of our achievements, must see bright future, we must persist on doing what is right and correct what is wrong”.

Martin Luther King who succeeded in securing political rights for the Blacks in United States in his speech on August 28th 1963 covered on page 10th of the Calendar had stated that “I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed. He had wished that his children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character”. His speech in Lincon Memorial Washington gave courage to millions of Black Americans to fight for their rights and they eventually did succeed.

Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar speaking in London on November 19th 1930 had said that “I want to go back to my country with the substance of freedom, otherwise I will not go back to a slave country. I would even prefer to die in free country, if you do not give me freedom you will have to give me a grave here”. This shows the conviction of these great leaders and eventually they succeeded realizing their dream of independence. November 2025 page of the Calendar carries these excerpts from his speech.

Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Kuan Yew’s speech on December 11th 1965 related to equal opportunities for progress is highlighted on the last page of the Calendar. He had remarked that “We ensure that the progress is spread equally regardless of race, language or religion. There will be same schools, same hospitals for all and the same low cost housing for all”.

The messages covered in the speeches of these great world leaders carry an important message for everyone. PharmEvo team deserve to be commended to have decided to spread these messages enhancing the quality of contents of Calendars.
