KARACHI: Senate Standing Committee on National Health, Regulations and Coordination visited the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, Karachi under the Chairmanship of Senator Amir Kalimuddin Chishti recently and had fruitful discussions with the CPSP leadership.
Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal welcomed all the Members of the Standing Committee and later gave a comprehensive briefing on the College’s rigorous and standardized training programs and examination processes. He highlighted CPSP’s ongoing commitment to strengthening postgraduate medical education both nationally and internationally, including collaborations with institutions in the UK and Ireland under the “brain gain” concept, as noted by the World Health Organization.
Prof. Aamer Zaman Khan, DG Medical Education highlighted CPSP’s efforts in introduction of innovations and assessment, revamping research workshops, establishment of simulation center and department of artificial intelligence. CPSP leadership also requested the members of the committee to facilitate and support the CPSP in strengthening its overseas relationship especially in the Middle East.
The Chairman, Standing Committee, Senator Mr. Amir Kalimuddin Chishti praised CPSP’s commendable efforts, acknowledging its significant contribution to the country’s medical education sector.
