Dr. Syed Moyn Aly & Komal Ata presented MH Qazi Alumni Awards
Awards at the 7th ICHPE 2024 by UOL
LAHORE: Prof. Javed Akram former Punjab Health Minister and former VC UHS was honoured with Prof. M. A. Rauf Life Time Achievement Award in Healthcare at the inaugural session of the 7th International Conference of Health Professions Education organized by University of Lahore here on November 5th 2024. He was honoured in recognition of his outstanding contribution to health professions and healthcare, including his Impact on education, research, leadership and community service. The Award was presented by Kh. Imran Nazeer and Kh. Salman Rafique the two provincial Health Ministers who graced the occasions with their presence. Rector of UOL Prof. M. Ashraf and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors of UOL M. Ozair Rauf were also present.
University of Lahore has instituted Life Time Achievement Awards in memory of its Founder late Prof. M. A.Rauf. The first two recipients who were presented these awards at the inaugural session of ICHPE 2024 on Nov. 5th included (left) Prof. Lubna Baig and (on right) Prof. Javed Akram. Pictures shows Kh. The other eminent medical educationist who earned the Life Time Achievement Award in the category of Health Professions Education was Prof. Lubna Baig former Pro Vice Chancellor of JSMU and Founder Dean of APPNA Institute of Public Health. Citations recalling their contribution in the respective fields were read on this occasion by Dr. Saima Chaudhry who was moderating the session. These awards, it may be recalled has recently been instituted by UOL in the name of its founder late Prof. M.A.Rauf who passed away about two months back.
University of Lahore also presented late Prof. MH Qazi Award for Excellence in Health Professions Education to Dr. Syed Moyn Aly from JSMU who was also affiliated with PMC for some time and to Dr. Komal Atta from University of Faisalabad.
