LOWER DIR(PESHAWAR): A One day interactive Hands on Original Article writing workshop for aspiring authors was conducted in Temargara Medical College Lower Dir Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 3rd August 2024.The workshop was conducted in collaboration with Pakistan Association of Medical Editors(PAME) and Orthopaedics Department Temargara Medical College and Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.

Former President PAME Prof. Dr. Muhammad Irfan supervised this workshop while Dr. Faaiz Ali Shah Associate Professor Orthopaedics and Executive Member PAME was the workshop facilitator. Dr. Waqar Alam Assistant Professor Orthopaedics Temargara Medical College was the workshop Director. The workshop was interactive and task oriented. The workshop was started with brief introduction of PAME. The workshop facilitator advised all the participant to download and read an excellent book on how to write an original article available on PAME website by the name of Scientific Writing written by Shaukat Ali Jawaid.
The workshop participants were divided into four groups each group having five participants. Each group was given one component of original article to prepare and present in front of all participants for discussion and correction by the workshop facilitator. Around 40 participants including physicians, surgeons and gynecologists attended this workshop. The workshop concluded with the presentation of Certificates amongst the participants of the workshop.
