KARACHI: Some members of Pakistan Aspirin Foundation visited the manufacturing plant of Atco Laboratories on August 15th 2024. The participants also included two of its former Presidents i.e Prof. Abdus Samad and Prof.Ejaz Ahmad Vohra as well as Prof. Feroz Memon President-elect.

The visitors were taken on a guided tour of the newly set up manufacturing plant at their premises in SITE area. They visited the quality assurance section, production area particularly where Ascard and Ascard Plus the Aspirin preparations were being manufactured. Setting up a new plant involves huge investment and Pakistani pharmaceutical industry has made tremendous progress during the last two decades improving, expanding and renovating its existing facilities besides acquiring sophisticated equipment and instruments to build quality into the products. The visitors commend the efforts being made to produce quality products at affordable prices.
Later Mr. Saeed Allawala alongwith Mr. Tariq Allawala and senior executives of Atco had fruitful discussions on improving healthcare in the country and the contributions being made by the healthcare professionals. Mr. Saeed Allawala also reiterated Atco’s commitment to sponsor Pakistan Aspirin Foundation’s CME programme and academic activities to promote the use of Aspirin the most economically priced antiplatelet agent in its well established as well as emerging indications.
