Sugar Coated Bitter Pills
Congratulations for the new Book which I have just received. It is no doubt another masterpiece. It involves lot of hard work, having authored so many books on different topics. It is a rich treasure which I hope will help shake the conscience of the healthcare professionals. You have laid emphasis on honesty, transparency, and upholding professional ethics which we all should practice in our lives which will result in a society worth living.
I am extremely grateful that you always remember me. May Allah Pak help you and give you the strength to continue to enlighten the medical profession.

We acknowledge with much appreciation and honoured to receive the signed copy of your latest book, “Sugar Coated BITTER PILLS”. Looking at the list of “Other Books by the author”, we are indeed privileged, we have read almost all, and will treasure them in our book collection.
First of all, SHAUKAT’s Pyramid for Excellence is a living shining example of your worth admiring personality ….”S“ starts with “Sincerity” and “T“ at the top with“ “Truthfulness” & “Transparency”! Here we like to add: The one sitting at the top only knows how lonely he is….because there are very few people; and that’s why you are outstanding. Professional ethics are only attributed to Professionals….. for politicians, professionalism is a bitter pill. Absolutely, Prof. Mowadat Rana’s address at the workshop in the recently held World Psychiatrics Association (WPA) in 2022, is worth remembering and there should be a vaccine for promoting tolerance and patience.
As a nation, we are deteriorating fast, as we pay no heads to good advices. Referring to Chapter 12, on “Inferiority complex“… it is actually “superiority complex “some of our people are suffering from. Bangladesh has left us far behind… but who cares. The last para of this chapter should be pasted with bold letters, but again who will come forward….interestingly, we have found the answer in Chapter 19, titled “ Poor Country with Rich People”, written brilliantly and hats off!!!! To the Respected Professors mentioned there in. Prof. Samad, Prof. Rizwan Azmi deserve all the respect. Personal communications from Respected (late) Prof. Kh. Sadiq Husain is a proof enough the editors who uphold professional ethics are loved by the conscious healthcare professionals. Chapter 31: Essential components of a prescription is interesting, and Chapter 33: An important reason of our decline in every field is SUPER. Every word written is worth a million appreciation, and is the last nail in the coffin. Last, but not the least; this book is worth reading as the BITTER PILLS are Sugar Coated.

Thank you very much for sending me your book “Sugar Coated Bitter Pills” Just perused a few chapters. The short crisp chapters make reading various topics quite interesting. I have gone through only a few chapters but find the selection of topics varied but very relevant. These relate to technical (medical writing, research), social (issues of female doctors), ethical (publishing in medical journals) and even economic and political topics. One outstanding feature is non-judgmental (despite being critical of practices, which beg to be addressed).Congratulations for adding this to your large collection of writings.
Warmest regards and best wishes.

Sons of the Soil!
This is the ground reality of our country. No matter what other countries offer but my point of view is very clear whether someone likes it or not. Whatever rizq is written for the person he will definitely get it no matter where he resides. Leaving parents alone for brighter future has no justification at all. These days one can see around parents living alone in big houses while grown up children are abroad happily facing hardships of that country.
