Growth of Predatory Journals
This refers to the lead story published in December 1st issue of Pulse International related to growth of predatory journals in Pakistan. Sir this is very insightful incisive and eye opener. You perhaps are the last of a dying breed of gentleman who still has the guts to speak the truth and call a spade a spade. May Allah Subhan o ta’ala give you the courage and foresight to continue to speak the truth for as long as you can.
Nothing in this country works anymore sir…the country has gone to the dogs. Even by some miracle there was a movement to makes amends of 77 years of wrong it will probably take a century now to get Pakistan set in the right direction. Pakistan is doomed. Its populace is doomed. There is no hope. All efforts are futile. Perhaps The only option is hijrat.

This is indeed alarming and quite disheartening for the journals that are struggling to meet all the stringent criteria set by the HEC and PMDC. This shouldn’t have happened in the first place, as it has created a rift between the policymakers, implementers, and the editors and authors. Such actions have led to a significant disconnect, where the intentions of the policymakers are not fully understood or supported by those working directly with the research and publication processes. This situation has not only caused confusion but also undermined the trust and collaboration between these key stakeholders, making it more difficult to achieve the shared goal of advancing scientific knowledge and improving academic standards.
