PESHAWAR: Hospital Director Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar Brig (Retd) Muhammad Abrar Khan has denied the “false allegations of corrupt practices maladministration, incompetence, apathy and harming the lives of patients” levelled against him by the former Dean Prof.Junaid Sarfraz published in a report in Pulse International of July 15th 2024. These allegations, it was further pointed out “were based on false pretense and libelous in nature and were aimed at tarnishing the confidence amongst his professional peers incluidng his seniors and subordinates, international organizations and public at large.”
Prof. Junaid Sarfraz, it may be mentioned here, had levelled these allegations against the hospital administration in his resignation letter which he is reported to have sent to Prof. Nosherwan Burki Chairman of the Hospital Board. In the published report no name was mentioned.
We are sorry if the above report has hurt the sentiments and feelings of anyone. We ourselves have never levelled any such allegations and for us each and every member of the medical profession, hospital administration is respectable and personally we have no ill will against anyone. The contents of the resignation letter were also published in comas verbatim. They are free to take any action against the former Dean who had levelled these allegations in his resignation letter. Keeping up the professional ethics, we have published this report and they are most welcome to share with us any action they take against the former Dean and we assure them that upholding professional ethics, we will keep our readers informed. The hospital administration is most welcome to share their side of the story which will get due coverage.
