LAHORE: Young Doctors continue their protest against outsourcing healthcare facilities under the banner of Grand Health Alliance. There were reports of clashes between the protesters and the law enforcing personnel.
According to Kh. Salman Rafique the provincial health minister, the young doctors became violent, wanted to enter the security zone and also used knives and sharp surgical instruments to attack the police personnel. He further stated that in view of the strike by young doctors, Professors have been asked to examine patients in the OPD as government is determined to ensure uninterrupted service to the patients.
