KARACHI: Prof. I. H. Bhatti an eminent neurosurgeon of Pakistan who also served as Director of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre Karachi, passed away on October 17th 2025. Mayh Allah Pak rest the departed soul in Jannah. Aameen

Prof. I.H. Bhatti
Born in Faisalabad in 1937, Prof. Bhatti was known as a strict disciplinarian and hot-headed personality who never tolerated any nonsense and fought the unethical intellectually corrupt healthcare professionals with courage. He was never afraid of any consequences and ensured discipline in the institutions he headed. After retirement from JPMC in 1997, he served as Director of Liaquat National Hospital for some time. He was very kind to the patients, used to come to the hospital early in the morning and often stayed late operating on patients who needed immediate attention. His honesty and professional integrity often created problems for him but he always followed professional ethics.
