Post Conference Session at University of Lahore
PAME conference highlighted various issues, specially related to the role of AI in the future of healthcare journalism. There are many challenges posed by it and the medical editors have to be even more smart than before to cope with these.
The post-PAME conference seminar held at the University of Lahore was a remarkable success, thanks to the intellectual contributions of all the participants, many of whom hold leadership positions across various medical journals in the country. Reflecting on the journey of the past three years, it is incredible to see how what once seemed like an ambitious dream has now become a reality.
While moderating the session alongside the esteemed panelists, I fully realized the significant role played by Mr. Shaukat Ali Jawaid, in shaping our success stories. His vision and dedication, through the editing course offered by UHS (which continues to this day), equipped us with the skills and knowledge to establish journals for our institutions and achieve indexing milestones.
The consistent guidance of facilitators like Prof. Akhtar Sherin, Prof. Jamshed Akhtar, Dr. Fatema Jawad, and Dr. Masood Jawaid has been instrumental, but at the heart of it all stands Mr. Shaukat Ali Jawaid—our mentor of mentors. His tireless efforts, wisdom, and encouragement have inspired and shaped us in ways words cannot fully express. We owe him our deepest gratitude for making this incredible journey possible. Thank you, sir, for believing in us and guiding us every step of the way.
