Medical & Dental College building fast nearing completion

LAHORE: A State of the Art Cardiac Center established at Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital will start functioning in a month’s time and interventional cardiac procedures including angioplasty, stenting will be started soon. Cardiac Surgery facilities will also become functional by the end of January 2025. This has been stated by Prof. Amar Aziz in his New Year message shared on the WhatsApp.
He also disclosed that a 1.5 Tesla MRI machine with Artificial Intelligence has also been installed and we will start seeing its results soon. The Spinal Surgery unit at Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital, it may be mentioned here, enjoys international recognition and candidates from twelve countries come here for training. Hence it needed this facility.
Hundreds of students have been admitted in Schools of Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Nursing at the Allied Medical Sciences Institute at GTTH. The hospital has also applied for Institute of Medical & Dental Sciences, the building is fast nearing completion hence after getting permission the Medical & Dental College at GTTH will also become a new addition to this institution. Prof. Amir Aziz has assured that this will be the first private medical and dental college in the country where the funds generated from these medial institutions will be entirely utilized for the welfare of patients and further improvement, expansion of facilities services at GHTT and no one will be able to pocket the money of this Trust Institution.
He thanked Mian Bashir who donated the whole Cardiac Center in memory of his parents. He also thanked other donors, friends and well-wishers of GTTH for this valuable help and assistance. This is not all, we have a big dream and we are hoping to realize all this with the help and assistance of our friends, donors and philanthropists, he concluded.
