UHS announces CME Batch-6 result
LAHORE: University of Health Sciences has announced the result of Certificate in Medical Editing Batch-6. Dr. Summia Khan from- Amina Inayat Medical College has earned Dr. Sarwar J. Zuberi prize worth Rs. Thirty thousand obtaining first position with 85% marks. Dr. Ali Mansoor from Amiruddin Medical College, Postgraduate Medical Institute and Dr. Qurat Ul Ain Naqvi from Services Institute of Medical Sciences have earned Prof. Tahir Saeed Haroon and Dr. Maqbool H. Jafary prizes worth Rs. twenty five and twenty thousand by obtaining second and third position with 84% and 83% marks respectively.
Dr. Haseeb Mahmood Qadri from Punjab Institute of Neurosciences who secured fourth position with 81% marks has also been rewarded with a special prize for his overall good performance during the course. Dr. Maham Javed the coordinator of CME courses at University of Health Sciences has also been selected for a very special handsome prize in recognition of her devotion, dedication and efficient coordination for the course for the last six years.
All these prizes are sponsored by Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences, the medical journal with highest Impact Factor from Pakistan. The objective is to encourage the participants to take up medical journalism, medical editing as an additional career while the other objective is to recognize the contribution of eminent distinguished editors who played a vital role in promoting this discipline in Pakistan in whose name these prizes are instituted.
