Prof. Shoaib Shafi elected CPSP President

KARACHI: College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan completed the formality of electing new office bearers at a meeting held at Karachi on May 03, 2024. As per a notification issued by Prof. Irshad Waheed Secretary of CPSP Prof. Muhammad Shoaib Shafi was elected as new President of CPSP while outgoing President Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal was elected as Senior Vice President.

Other office bearers elected include Prof. Abbas Memon Vice President, Prof. Muhammad Masroor Treasurer. Executive Committee Members are Prof. Jahangir Khan and Prof. Syed Khalid Ahmed Ashrafi. Prof. Abrar Ashraf Ali and Prof. Ambreen Afzal were elected as members of the finance committee. Prof. Shoaib Shafi has also nominated Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal to represent CPSP in the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council.

It may be mentioned here that while the twenty member CPSP Council is elected every four years, the office bearers as per the constitution are to be elected every year for one year.
