Promoting and protecting the Human Rights of People with Epilepsy

KARACHI: Neurology Awareness and Research Foundation (NARF) Pakistan in collaboration with Liaquat College of Medicine & Dentistry, Karachi arranged a CME Hybrid WEBINAR on “Promoting and protecting the Human Rights of People with Epilepsy” on February 12th, 2024 in connection with the International Epilepsy Day. Large number of consultants, physicians, and postgraduate’s trainees and undergraduate’s students attended this interactive session.

Prof. Man Mohan Mehndiratta (Director of Neurology, BLK- New Delhi) delivered his talk on EPILEPSY WHEN TO TREAT – Evaluation & Management of Epilepsy via online Zoom link. Besides him Dr. Asfand Yar Khan, Assistant Consultant Neurologist from Shifa International Hospital- Islamabad spoke on Epilepsy: Classification & Diagnostic Challenges & Prof. Tipu Sultan from Children’s Hospital, Lahore talked about WHEN “AED” SHALL START IN CHILDREN?

Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui, Dr. Shahid Mustafa also spoke at the occasion. Former President of PSN and currently NARF President Prof. M. Wasay delivered the key note speech on Epilepsy- Global Targets & Pakistan: Legislative Hiccups & Solution. Principal LCMD Prof. Rashid Naseem Khan welcomed the participants while Prof. Abdul Malik thanked the participants. Dr. Bushra Ammad moderated this session. This CME was accredited by JSMU. (PR)
