Professionalism Workshop
at CPSP Lahore

LAHORE: A workshop on professionalism was organized at College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, Regional Centre Lahore in collaboration with University of Health Sciences recently. It was part of pre-conference workshops of international medical education conference organized by UHS and attended by thirty expert from civil and armed forces medical institutions.

Dr. Modawa Chandratilike, medical educationist from Sri Lanka was the facilitator who discussedvarious aspectsrelated to professionalism in detail and also demonstrated it through hands on practice by the participants of the workshop. At the end of the workshop Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, Senior Vice President, CPSP said that expertise in professionalism is essential for becoming good doctor. CPSP has made the workshop on professionalism mandatory for the under training doctors and this will also be incorporated in the examination syllabus. The workshop wasalso attended by Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz, Director Residency Program, Prof. Muhammad Tayyab, Director, ALSO course, Prof. Zahid Kamal, Prof. Syed Asghar Naqi, Prof. Waris Farooqa, Brig. Sohail Amin, Dr. Waseem Hayat, Prof. Ghulam Mustafa Arain, and Dr. Uzma Tahir along with other experts in the field of medical education. (PR)
