Sustainable Energy Usage: Helix Pharma has made significant investments in renewable energy sources, such as solar, significantly reducing its dependence on fossil fuels.  Prof. Fouzia Gul appointed Dean
of Clinical Sciences at KMU 

PESHAWAR: In a significant development for medical education and research, Prof. Dr. Fouzia Gul has been appointed as the Dean of Clinical Sciences at Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar. The announcement was made by the Higher education department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the approval of chief Minister & Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who is the Chancellor of KMU.

Prof. Fouzia Gul

Prof. Dr. Fouzia Gul brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of Gynecology/Obstetrics. She is currently serving as the Head of Gynecology/Obstetrics at KMU Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Liaqat Memorial Hospital, Kohat. Prior to this, she held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Medical Education & Research at KMU from 2016, to 2019. Notably, during her tenure as Dean, she played a pioneering role in introducing the modular system in the undergraduate medical program in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Prof Dr. Fouzia Gul also served as the Head of the Department of Medical Education at KMU-IMS, Kohat, for four years.

A graduate of Khyber Medical College Peshawar, Prof Dr. Fouzia Gul holds a Fellowship in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and a Master’s in Health Professional Education (MHPE). She is a CPSP Supervisor for FCPS Gynae/Obs and has been actively involved in health research projects with Oxford University and the London School of Public Health.

Her contributions to medical education and research extend beyond her institutional roles. Prof Dr. Fouzia Gul has numerous publications in national and international journals, including renowned journals like Lancet and the British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Prof Dr. Fouzia Gul has also been actively involved in various academic and professional bodies. She has held key positions in university statutory bodies, including the Syndicate and Academic Council of KMU. Currently, she is a Member of the Clinical Trials Unit KMU Steering Committee and holds a Vice-Chairperson position in the Research Ethics Committee at KMU-IMS.

In addition to her academic engagements, Prof Dr. Fouzia Gul is a proud member of the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) since 2014 and serves as a Member and Co-Chairperson of the Society of Obstetricians & Gynecologists Pakistan, Kohat Chapter.
