KMU intends to start Diploma and
Master’s Programs in Bio-Ethics

PESHAWAR: KMU has announced establishment of Peshawar Bio Ethics Forum besides starting diploma and master courses in Bio Ethics in the near future. The announcement was made by VC KMU Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hafizullah while addressing the concluding session of the two days Bio Ethics workshop held here under the auspices of KMU. Director Academics KMU Prof. Dr. Shad Muhammad and Director R&D Prof. Dr. MukhtiarZamanAfridi, Director Center for Bio Ethics & Culture Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplant, Prof. Dr. FarhatMuazamwere also in attendance.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Hafizullah said that KMU has initiated Bio ethics workshops for the doctors and research scholars of the province which has yielded positive results so far. He said that ethical education was integral part of our religion and tradition and its importance cannot be ruled out in medical sciences.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hafizullah said that the initiative of holding these workshops would be extended to other fields as well adding that new series of workshops titled clinical bio ethics would be initiated soon given successful completion of bio ethics in the research sector. He lauded the suggestion of the participants regarding setting up of Peshawar Bio Ethics Forum that would consist of Peshawar based doctors and researchers and promised to give practical shape to it.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hafizullah announced holding of two workshops on clinical bio ethics at KTH Peshawar and LRH and directed Directorate of Research to take measures for setting of Peshawar Bio Ethic Forum so that the ambit of research carried out by the university could be further extended in the coming days. In the end he thanked the participants and distributed certificates among them. (PR)
