KEMU included in WURI

LAHORE: According to a press release issue by the King Edward Medical University, KEMU has been included in the list of World Universities with Real Impact (WURI for year 2021 (WURI) for the Year 2021. KEMU has been ranked among top 50 Universities in the world with real impact for the outstanding services in CRISIS MANAGEMENT & dealing with external shocks such as COVID-19 PANDEMIC with innovative strategies.

It may be mentioned her the KEMU has established the Department of TELEMEDICINE having Tele Corona Help Desk and Tele OPD, including Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Gynecology, Dermatology, ENT, Orthopedics, Pulmonology, Cardiology Tele Psychiatry and Tele Nutrition. The use of artificial intelligence as a technological breakthrough which has been recognized by the organizers of WURI Ranking which includes:

  • Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU) from the Netherlands
  • The institute for Industrial Policy Studies (IPS) from South Korea
  • The United nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) from Geneva Switzerland
  • Tailer Institute at Franklin University Switzerland (FUS) from Lugano, Switzerland.

The credit of this achievement goes to Faculty members, Postgraduate Residents, Paramedics and Nurses who worked day and night in COVID-19 Pandemic, Director IT and Director QEC for updating the data. All doctors who working in this department also deserve to be commended. (PR)
