CPSP to have Fellowship
program in minimal invasive surgery

LAHORE: Prof. Davide Lomanto, Past President ELSA Director, MISC & ASTC, Senior Consultant Surgeon, National University Hospital, Singapore and Dr. Asim Shabbir, Deputy Director MISC, Center, Consultant Surgeon, National University Hospital, Singapore, visited CPSP Regional Center Lahore and witnessed the various academic activities.

Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal DG International Relations in his briefing highlighted the role of CPSP in post graduate medical education in the country. He also disclosed that CPSP is considering fellowship program in minimal invasive surgery as there are sufficient trainers and training centers in the country. He appreciated the efforts of Prof. Masood Rashid and Prof. Ehsan-Ur-Rehman in arranging the international workshop of Advanced Digestive Surgery. He further mentioned that on the direction of Prof. Zafar Ullah Chaudhry, President, CPSP, under the supervision of Prof. Mahmood Ayyaz Country Director of Advanced Skill Courses, the skill and simulation labs will be established at all Regional Centers. Laparoscopic simulators have been provided at provisional centers for quality training of surgical residents.
