Speaking at the occasion Mr. Jamshed Ahmad said that taking a broader holistic view we wish to fight against all sort of diseases including physical, emotional, mental or social diseases. Adoption of Baithak school was under our consideration for the last two three years and it also falls under our dream of having a healthier society in the country. It is the duty of all of us to work for this. We must find out what we did as an individual to promote the welfare of the society and improve conditions in the country. We in PharmEvo are contributing in our own way. It is essential that we must fulfill our own duties and responsibilities rather than criticizing the government and other countries. All of us must spend some time and money and work hard to improve the lot of the under privileged class in the society. We must groom these students and it is a much better Jihad to fight against ignorance, illiteracy and poverty. We must do something to enable these children from the under privileged class to meet their economic needs. For this we have to provide them some opportunities to actively participate in the society. What we can do on behalf of PharmEvo we will do and will also request other friends in the industry to help such noble cause because knowledge will strengthen the foundations of this country. We can make some difference and make it a better country so that our future generations are proud of it. This may be a small step but at least we are not just watching but actually doing what we preach. He also commended the good work being done by SEW in the field of education.
Ms. Tayyaba Atif in her speech thanked PharmEvo for their collaboration with SEW which will not only meet the education needs of the children in the underprivileged class in Pakistan but also promote welfare in the society. She hoped that this collaboration between PharmEvo and SEW will be expanded further in the days to come.
Earlier in his introductory remarks Mr. Amir Salman speaking on behalf of SEW commended the Mission Statement of PharmEvo and their keen interest in fulfilling their corporate social responsibilities. It is also heartening to learn that they practice what they preach. SEW, he pointed out was running one hundred thirty four such schools all over the country which have fourteen thousand registered students and seven hundred fourteen teachers. What is more important is the fact that about forty percent of the teachers are those who have passed out from these schools and are themselves from the less privileged class in the society. Hence their conviction and devotion to teach the students is much more than expected. These schools which are linked in Baithak School Network run by SEW are located at Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Moro, Sukkur, Jaccobabad, Lahore, Faisalabad, Jaranwala, Gujranwalla, Multan, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Swat, Nowshera, Peshawar, Mansehra, Khuzdar, Kala Bagh and Dera Ghazi Khan. Mr. Shakeel Director Marketing PharmEvo was also present on this occasion.
