Otsuka Welfare Clinic in 10 Years

PESHAWAR: Otsuka Pakistan Limited on behalf of Otsuka International Asia and Arab Division started a free medical clinic for Afghan refugees and local poor humanity in the Peshawar area. The clinic has completed 10 years of its services to the ailing humanity with lot of efforts by many individuals. In order to recognize contribution of these people, a program was arranged in Islamabad, where His Excellency, the Ambassador of Japan, Mr. Hiroshi Inomata was the Chief Guest.

Otsuka Welfare Clinic has provided services to more than 700,000 patients during this period. Free consultation and free medicines have been provided to the visiting patients. This clinic has also run special days for specialized services in the field of dermatology. Otsuka Welfare Clinic not only supported patients in the surrounding areas but also reached out to help suffering individuals in the time of devastating earthquake and floods in 2005 and 2010 respectively, in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
His Highness Mr. Hiroshi Inomata in his on the occasion applaud all those who are working at Otsuka Welfare Clinic as well as those who are supporting their cause and praised them very highly. He also appreciated the role of Otsuka Pakistan in continuous running of this clinic for patients coming from Afghan refugees and local residents.
Speaking on the occasion Senior Chief Operating Officers of Otsuka International and Arab Division Mr. Daesik Eom and Mr. Meguru Kajiwara appreciated efforts of individuals and the affiliated companies of OIAA Division (24 companies) who have provided funds on humanitarian basis. These companies have contributed to OWC for last 10 years.
Mrs. Saira Afzal Tarrar, the Honorable Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination in her message expressed pleasure of seeing a noble cause as a going concern for last ten years. She appreciated Otsuka for this noble cause which is source of light for many. She hoped continuation of clinic for poor people. Mr. Imtiaz Inayat Elahi, Secretary for Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination stated in his message pleasure knowing Otsuka Welfare Clinic which is run free of cost. He congratulated Otsuka Global and its affiliate companies for supporting the needy people. He also wished that this clinic will continue in the future.
Mr. Abid Hussain, the Chief Executive Officer of Otsuka Pakistan Limited, thanked all those who have supported the running of this clinic for the past ten years and hoped that Otsuka will be able to support such endeavors in the future as well.
