 CPSP decides to expand its
academic consultation

KARACHI: The Council of College of Physicians Surgeons Pakistan has decided to expand academic consultation. It has decided to establish two advisory committees. The first advisory committee would be consisted on position holder’s doctors from across the country. First two position holders of FCPS-I, IMM, and FCPS-II would be the members of advisory committee from all provinces of the country. The tenure of advisory committee would be one year andposition holder doctors would be incorporated into the advisory committee.

The second committee would be consisted of senior fellows and renowned persons of medical profession. This committee would advise the President CPSP on different issues and College council would frame future policies in consultation with this advisory committee. The first meeting of both committees was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Zafar Ullah Chaudhry...The senior advisory committee meeting was attended by Prof. Nasir Uddin Azam Khan as a special advisor. In addition to this, Prof. Abdullah Jan Jaffer from Baluchistan, Prof. Rukhsana Zubairi, Prof. Adeeb Rizvi, Prof. Aftab Munir, Prof. Syed Mahmood, Prof. Shah Zaman, Prof. Ghulam Asghar Channa, Prof. Azhar Farooqui, Prof. Abdul Sattar Memon, Prof. Khalid Zafar Hashmi  from Sindh, Prof. Atta Ullah , Prof. Abdul Samad from KPK and Prof. Ijaz Ahsan, Ex-President, CPSP, Prof. Rakhshanda Rehman, Major. Gen. (Retd) Prof. Muhammad Aslam, Prof. Abdul Jalil Daula, Dr. Tariq Mahmood Mian and Dr. Abdul Qayyum Awan from Punjab. The achievements of CPSP at national and international levels were highlighted in the meeting. 

King Edward Literary
Society organizes Mushaira

LAHORE: Keeping up its past traditions King Edward Literary Society organized a Mushaira on April 20th 2016 for which noted poets form the city were invited.   Mr. Hasan Kazmi presided. Invited Guest poets who participated included Dr. Ahsan Shahzad, Zohaeer Latif, Tehzeen Haffi, Adnan Mohsin,  Dr.Fakhar Abbas, Taimoor Hasan Taioor  Saadllah Shah, Hameeda Shaheen, Abbas Tabish and Zahid Fakhri. It was largely attended by students of King Edward Medical University.

Speaking at the occasion Patron of the Society Prof. Irshad Hussain Qureshi commended the organizers for their devotion and dedication. He was of the view that such meetings not only help promote Urdu language but it also promotes our cultural values.  Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal Vice President of CPSP presented the mementoes among the office bearers of the King Edward Literary Society and congratulated them for organizing such a literary function.
