Prof. Arshad Javed

Prof. Arshad Javed, it may be mentioned, here was at No. 1 in the merit list prepared by the Search Committee. He brings with him rich administrative experience as he has served as Chief Executive of Lady Reading Hospital for many years and more recently he was Dean of Postgraduate Medical Institute at LRH. He is an eminent pulmonary medicine specialist with keen interest in academics.  He should have been appointed to this coveted post many years ago as even at that time he was No. 1 at the merit list but as happens in Pakistan, it happened then.

He is a kind hearted physician and keen researcher, an honest upright man and a quiet worker. He has always remained easily accessible and gives due respect to his colleagues and other members of the healthcare teams.
