DUHS performs three
liver transplants

KARACHI: Three patients underwent Living Donor Liver Transplant at Ojha Campus of Dow University of Health Sciences by a team of Surgeons and other related faculty and staff under the guidance of Prof. Shams Nadeem Alam on May 14, 15 and 16th 2016. It was monitored by a team from Apollo Hospital New Delhi India led by Dr Subhash Gupta who has successfully performed nearly 2000 liver transplants so far.

According to Prof. Shams Nadeem Alam all these patients are male between the age of 30-40s and the donors are in 30s. One of the patients was suffering from Hepatitis-B, other from Hepatitis-C while the third had HCC.
