Since independence in 1947, medical education in Pakistan has witnessed very little or almost no change at all. As a result lots of problems have appeared which need to be sorted out and remedial actions be taken and KMU should take initiative in this noble cause.
Prof. Nasiruddin Azam Khan in his address said that Medical Education, in general, is different from orthodox education, in terms of technicality and application. Medical Students are supposed to deal with tough situations under pressure and devise ways to ensure the safety of other human beings. In Pakistan, like the rest of our education sector, Medical Education is not a standardized field and a lot of improvements need to be made in this regard.
