RAWALPINDI: The Head of International Affairs, Royal College of Physicians, UK Mr. Steve Crump along with Prof. Amir Ghafoor Khan, Prof of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar visited National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), Rawalpindi on July 10, 2017 to explore areas of mutual interest and develop liaison between both the Institutions.

They were welcomed by Pro VC along with other top management of NUMS with the proposed agenda to establish linkage between the two leading institutions. This included establishing Students, Faculty & Examiners Exchange system, Split Ph. D. programme and holding Joint Conferences and Research Projects and Placement of Undergraduate Internships.

The participants shared their views and after a healthy session of discussion, developed consensus to work together on projects of reciprocity. Exchange of technical expertise, collaborative seminars, workshops and training courses figured during the discussion. It was agreed to establish a system of mutual cooperation for inclusion of NUMS’ students in Summer elective programmes as well as attachment of mid-term faculty in Family Medicine, Public Health, Nursing & other programmes of the Royal College of Physicians, UK.  (PR)
