Illinois visits CPSP Lahore

LAHORE: Prof. Ara Tekian, Professor of Medical Education from University of Illinois, Chicago, USA visited CPSP Regional Center, Lahore recently. Speaking about the functioning and accomplishments of the CPSP Prof. Zafar Ullah Chaudhry, said that it was playing a key role at national and international level by providing trained medical specialists the world over. The nomination of CPSP for the best award in education sphere by Europe Business Assembly is an honour for the country and Nation. CPSP is taking effective steps for the welfare of trainee doctors.

Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal, DGIR, highlighted the performance of CPSP from 2007 to 2013 and mentioned about the completion of 75 ATLS courses for which CPSP has been awarded in USA. Prof. Mahmood Ayyas has also been awarded fellowship of American College of Surgeons which is an honour for the country. He further said that after signing MoUs with developed countries the demand of CPSP’s fellows has increased. CPSP has maintained the standard in medical education which is being transmitted to the upcoming lot of trainee doctors. The E-log system of CPSP is recognized as the best in the world. The training and supervision of trainees and supervisors is being monitored through e-log system respectively. (PR)
