LAHORE: Pakistan Aspirin Foundation is organizing its National Conference on April 28th at Azra Naheed Medical College, Superior University on Raiwind Road Lahore.  Prof. M. Akbar Chaudhry Principal of AZNMC who is also former President of the Foundation is the host and chief organizer. It will be attended by most of the founder members and members of the medical profession from all over the country in general and members of Pakistan Aspirin Foundation in particular are most welcome.

The scientific programme consists of three sessions wherein use of Aspirin, its safety and efficacy in various disorders including heart diseases, ACS, Cerebrovascular Diseases will be highlighted by various speakers. Other topics which are likely to figure during the deliberations include epidemic of cardiovascular disease, how can we reduce the risk of cardiac disease and diabetes, How to prevent heart attacks, Aspirin and Statins- the two Good Friends, Diabetes and Hypertension the two bad companions and the use of dual antiplatelet- the current guidelines.

New and emerging indications of use of Aspirin will be discussed in the panel discussion wherein the Members of the panel will be drawn from different specialties. The conference will start at 9.00 AM on April 28th and conclude at 3.00 PM.

The organizers have also arranged for Pre-conference Workshops on Friday April 27th on Medical Writing, Patient Safety, Diabetic Foot, Evidence Based Medicine, Digital CME, Examination Blue Print and Medical Professionalism. The participants will get CME Credit as well.
