Due to shortage of manpower in public hospitals some time safety measures are overlooked. We should always insist on quality products which has its own price but it ensure good results. Role of pharmacies is also very important to provide quality product to the customers but at times some of them give preference to profit margins which needs to be discouraged, he added.

He commended the efforts being made by Otsuka by providing quality preparations which do not need pricking. He hoped that precautionary measures being taken during manufacturing of IV infusions and their efforts to create awareness regarding problems like pricking of IV bottles, needle stick injuries etc. will help to further promote this message.

Earlier Mr. Khalid Munir highlighted the activities of Otsuka Pakistan to create awareness about Hepatitis spread using electronic and print media among the public and healthcare professionals.
